Wolf Range Hood Repair

We work at the hood itself and at the duct joint where the air leaves it. The duct run above the ceiling and the cap on the roof belong to whoever installed the ventilation, and nobody goes onto a roof for a Wolf repair.

• The blower only runs at one speed no matter where the control is set
• A bank of hood lights has gone out, or the whole row flickers when the blower starts
• A loud rattle or vibration comes off the blower at the higher speeds
• Steam and smoke from the cooktop below are no longer being cleared

   The light banks, lamp by lamp

   We expect

   Every lamp lit and steady when the blower starts

   If not

   Lamp, socket, or the supply to that bank

3. We check

   The filters and the grease path

   We expect

   Filters clean and seated in their frames

   If not

   Cleared first, since a clogged filter cuts the draw

4. We check

   The hood’s fixings and the duct joint at the hood

   We expect

   Hood held firm, the joint mechanically fastened

   If not

   Vibration traced before any motor is condemned

The hood is worked on from below with the cooktop under it covered and the filters out. Hood parts carry no published band on this site, so the $89 visit ends with the failed part named and its figure written down; nothing is ordered until you approve it.
